Home Schedule People Programs Newsletter Map Garden	PROGRAMS Acolytes -- From time to time young people serve as acolytes at Sunday Eucharist, to carry the cross and help serve at the altar. We're always seeking more. Adult Forum -- At 11:45 AM on most Sundays, a group of about ten people gathers for study of scripture and topical issues. Altar Guild -- Preparation of the altar for Holy Eucharist is the mission of this group. More members are needed. Angel Tree -- Before Christmas each year, we gather gifts for the children of persons in prison whose names have been given to us by the Angel Tree organization. Episcopal Church Women -- All women of St. Andrew's are included in ECW. Eucharistic Ministers -- Lay ministers help serve at the altar for Holy Eucharist every Sunday. EMs also take communion to homebound members. Florence Area Alzhiemer's Hospitality Program -- FAAHP meets in our building every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday to provide respite care for family members with Alzheimer's. Florence Free Lunch Program -- Once a month we prepare and serve the lunch at the Free Lunch program at the Methodist Church. Food Share -- We collect non-perishable food and donate it to the Florence Food Share program for distribution to local families in need. Habitat for Humanity Affiliate -- We participate in Florence Habitat for Humanity by serving on committees and by occasional work parties to build Habitat houses. Our Vicar works part-time as Executive Director of Florence Habitat. Loaves and Fishes -- This group of women enthusiastically provides hospitality for meals and receptions. The Order of the Daughters of the King -- Our local chapter of this international organization is focused on prayer and service. Prayer Chain -- We maintain a list of people we pray for on a daily basis. Turkey Shoot -- Each Thanksgiving we donate the ingredients for 25-30 Thanksgiving dinners which are distributed through Siuslaw Outreach Services to families in need in Florence. Ushers -- Our ushers welcome worshippers and help our worship flow smoothly. Worship Planning Team -- This group meets twice a month to choose hymns, select prayers, and plan our worship.		The purpose of the church is transformation and renewal through discipleship, evangelism, and mission. We're always looking for creative new ways to carry out the mission of the church.
