DSL Troubleshooting

Most DSL connectivity problems can be solved by powercycling your DSL modem. To do this, simply unplug the A/C adapter from your modem, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in. Wait 60 seconds for the modem to complete its boot routine, and try again to get online. If you're still having problems, reboot everything else in your network: any routers, switches, or hubs, and your computer/s. If the problem persists, call the BMI Support Team.
If you're not sure where your modem is, look for a device with one of the following names:

Modems

  • Encore
  • Actiontec
  • Zoom
  • 2wire
